Mediation is a structured process where a neutral mediator or mediators help parties to resolve conflict. The mediator or mediators cannot decide issues or impose a settlement; a binding decision will be reached only if both parties agree to its terms.  The role of the mediator is to manage the conflict resolution process and to provide creative options for clients to consider.  Mediation allows you the flexibility to agree to terms that a judge would never order, to meet the specific needs of your family.

Mediation offer many advantages over litigation:
  • Significantly reduced cost
  • High success rate in reaching settlement
  • Immediate closure
  • Elimination of the uncertainty of jury trials
  • Control over your outcome
